Research Technician


Estrigenix Therapeutics, Inc. is a pharmaceutical development company developing novel non-steroidal molecules to treat menopause and dementia. The research laboratories opened in May 2022 at UWM Innovation Accelerator, Innovation Campus, Wauwatosa, WI. To help build our first-in-class selective Estrogen Receptor beta agonists (SERBAs), we are seeking a research technician with interests in in vivo rodent behavioral pharmacology to join our team.

Job Description

The Research Technician will work with neuroscience colleagues to conduct in vivo testing of Estrigenix compounds in mice. The Research Technician will prepare animals for study and conduct drug preparation and administration, behavioral assays, tissue collection and analysis, and data analyses. Behavioral assays will assess memory, hot flashes, anxiety, and depression. The Research Technician will work with the CSO and her graduate students in her laboratory at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The Research Technician will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, keeping diligent records, and assisting in preparation of manuscripts, grant applications, and patent applications. They may also assist with the supervision and training of junior scientists. This is a full time position.

Minimum Requirements

  • B.A./B.S. in Psychology, Neuroscience, Biomedical Sciences or related discipline
  • At least 1 semester of in-person laboratory research experience (at least 1 year preferred)
  • Previous experience conducting research with rodents preferred
